Instructions for Rguroo Registration

Student Registration

Students can register for an Rguroo subscription or extend their subscription in one of the following ways:

Making an online purchase using a credit card. For pricing information, click here.
Redeeming an Rguroo Access Key¹.
If your institution offers free accounts to all students, register with your school’s email address. No payment will be required.

1. Open the Registration Page

Open an Internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, or Safari is recommended).
Go to the link https://www.rguroo.com.
Click on the button on the top right of the page to open the registration page.
Select the Student option.

2. Select Account Type and Verify Email

Account Type

Select one of the following choices:

Create a free trial account ²: Try Rguroo for free for ten days. Only one trial account per individual is allowed.
Create a new account: Don’t have an Rguroo account? Select this option to register for a new account.
Renew your account: Extend the subscription for your existing Rguroo account.
Extend your trial account: Is your trial account is about to expire, or is expired? Purchase an Rguroo subscription.

Purchase Premium Support: Click here to learn more about Premium Support. Premium Support is optional but recommended.
Have Access Key: If you have an Access Key, select this option.
If you don’t have an Access Key, select one of the two subscription lengths: 6 Months or 12 Months.

Email Verification

Type your email address in the first box and retype it again in the second box. Your email address will be your Rguroo username.
Click the button
Check your email. A verification code will be sent to the email address that you provided.

Don’t see the email in your Inbox? If you don’t see the verification email in your Inbox within a few minutes, check your Spam or Junk Mail folder.

Open the email, and copy-paste or type the “Email Verification Code” you have received in the space that appears.

3. Your Information

If you are renewing your account or extending your trial account, simply read and agree to the terms of service and click the Submit button button. Skip the remaining part of this section and go to Section 4.

If you are creating a new account, fill out the Your Information page.

Type in your first and last name.
Select U.S. or International.
In the Institution textbox, type-in your Institution’s name.

Tips on finding U.S. institution’s names

By typing a few letters of your university or college name, you should see the complete name in a list that appears.
Type in the full name or parts of the name of your institution. For example, instead of UCLA, type “University of California” and select “University of California - Los Angeles” that appears in the list.

If you have an Access Key, type it in the space provided.
Read the Terms of Service and check the box if you agree.
Click the button.

Important Note:

If you typed-in a valid Access Key or your institution provides you with a free Rguroo account, you are done with the registration process. Skip Section 4 and go to the Sign into Rguroo Section.

If you are making a payment by credit card, read Section 4.

4. Billing Information

If you are purchasing your Rguroo subscription by credit card, fill-out your billing information. When you are done with your payment, go to Step 5.

5. Sign-in to Rguroo

At this point, if your registration is complete, you will receive an email with a temporary password.

Open the email, and copy your temporary password.
Go to the link https://www.rguroo.com.
Click the button.
Type in your Username. Your username is your email address.
You will be asked for the temporary password that was emailed to you. Type or paste it into the Temporary Password box.
Type-in a new password, and retype your new password.
Click the LOGIN button.

Always login to Rguroo through Rguroo’s main website

To sign-in to Rguroo, use the sign in button button on Rguroo’s main website https://www.rguroo.com. This ensures that you get the latest version of Rguroo, and the Rguroo application gets loaded into your browser correctly.

Faculty Registration

Faculty, you get a free unlimited subscription to Rguroo, including Premium Support. Your account is activated as soon as you complete the online registration process. Please make sure that your information is accurate, as it will be used to verify your status as a faculty. Faculty are expected to use their institution email address to register.
